A Politically Correct Greeting

Here is my politically correct greeting for this time of year.

Happy Holidays.

I want to stress, I am not a politically correct person, just wanted your attention. I am a Christian and celebrate Christmas, NOT X-MAS. That is one of my pet peaves, sorry. The last time I checked, Jesus was not known as X. So, Merry Christmas.

This does not mean I don’t have respect for other religions and cultures who celebrate a bit different at this time of year. For my Jewish friends: Happy Hanukkah. For my African friends: Happy Kwanzaa. And for the hardcore Seinfeld fans out there, Happy Festivus.

Whatever you celebrate this time of year, even if it is nothing at all, I wish you the happiness and prosperity you are looking for out of your life.

Please comment below. What do you celebrate? If I didn’t mention it here, please tell us what it is. Don’t be shy, we all are friends here.

A fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great, (not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country or is the only “AMERICA” in the western hemisphere), and without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith, choice of computer platform, or sexual preference of the wisher.”

Lol, that is certainly a politically correct holiday greeting. I was at Disneyworld recently and one of the security guards was saying “Merry Christmas” to guests who were entering the park. Another guard overheard him and started yelling at him for saying that because it’s not politically correct. He was instructed to say “Happy Holidays” instead. I’m actually a Hanukkah guy myself, but I don’t mind if someone says “Merry Christmas” to me because I understand that most people here are Christian. So Merry Christmas (not X-mas) to you! -Joe

This really good that you celebrate your event along with giving respect to other religions occasions… so is this the only political statement or anything really prevailing.

Yes Joe, what all the important things that a guard should be instructed some are still taking care of such a…not relevant issue! Merry christmas to all :)
