I want to cover what I feel is the most important reasons to blog.
Starting a blog because you enjoy writing is a great reason. You just want to be creative and share your creativity with others. Bloggers that started out this way are truly writing for their readers. The search engines are not important, just sharing.
The other reason for today is to interact with others. Starting a blog because you want to get to know people. again, you are writing for the readers and not the search engines.
Bloggers that have more personal reasons such as these are MUCH more likely to respond to comments that people post. If you contact them via email, you will almost certainly get a response. I believe you also get much better content, because they are writing to YOU.

Here is my politically correct greeting for this time of year.
Happy Holidays.
I want to stress, I am not a politically correct person, just wanted your attention. I am a Christian and celebrate Christmas, NOT X-MAS. That is one of my pet peaves, sorry. The last time I checked, Jesus was not known as X. So, Merry Christmas.
This does not mean I don’t have respect for other religions and cultures who celebrate a bit different at this time of year. For my Jewish friends: Happy Hanukkah. For my African friends: Happy Kwanzaa. And for the hardcore Seinfeld fans out there, Happy Festivus.
Whatever you celebrate this time of year, even if it is nothing at all, I wish you the happiness and prosperity you are looking for out of your life.

In this post, I want to talk about blogging to portray yourself as an expert.
You will to pay very close attention to SEO. You will be starting out trying to gain notice in the search engines. As people find your blog from the search engines, than you can convert them to regular readers.
Make sure you are publishing very technically correct information. You will most likely getting readers who are familiar with the subject matter. Keeping these readers will strongly be in the correctness of your posts.
In this method. you will need to be patient and allow your readers to grow.

This is something I normally don’t do. I want to ask all of my readers to consider this. I read this post on the Slightly Drunk blog: http://slightlydrunk.blogspot.com/2009/10/cleveland-rocks.html
There is a cancer survivor out there whose name is Drew Olanoff. He uses the twitter name @drew. He decided to auction off this name to raise money for cancer research, specifically the LiveStrong foundation, which is affiliated with the Lance Armstrong foundation. One of the bidders is Drew Carey (The Price Is Right, The Drew Carey Show). Drew Carey bid $100,000 for this name, but he has a challenge associated with it. If he can get 1,000,000 followers on Twitter by the end of this year, he will increase the amount to $1,000,000.
I am asking everyone to follow Drew Carey on Twitter. Everyone knows someone whose life has been affected by cancer. This is something you can do for a great charity, and all it will cost you is a couple of minutes. Post a comment here when you have done this and it will be a follow comment so you get a free backlink at the same time.

If you have recently been thinking about a new income stream or an alternative source of making money, the chances are that you’re looking for a lot of information. You may even be searching on the web for a home-based business article or two to help you make your decisions. Research is very important, to help you to eliminate a lot of the ideas that you do not want to be involved in, from those that are good value.
If you are unfortunate enough to have lost a position during the recent recession, then you do not have an ultimate amount of time to devote to research as you find a way to replenish your revenues. There are a number of places online that you can turn to find a home-based business article or two that will really help you to make your decisions. Turn to some of the more established and recognized article directories. The top of the list is undoubtedly ezinearticles.com, which has a solid reputation.
Be very careful when you are looking for a replacement or alternate income, especially if you’re under some pressure to do so. There are a lot of fly by night schemes on the Internet and if it says you can achieve a lofty goal very quickly, remember that you are living in the real world. Anything that you undertake will require a lot of application and work, but if you’re prepared to stick at it you will see returns.

Today I am going to expand a little on your audience. Deciding who you are going to design your web page for can be a tough process.
You need to work on a subject or area you are knowledgeable about. You also should be passionate about it. Trying to write good information in an area other than these, can greatly decrease your chances for success.
