Over the last decade, the internet has put the world at our fingertips. Buying goods and services has changed radically and continues to evolve on a daily basis. Nowadays, it’s imperative for a new business owner to include internet marketing in the business plan. The question is, where to start?
Before diving into something, just take a few moments to ask this, what is my driving force to do business online? Is it making money, or delivering a message, or a combination of the two? Any choice is OK, and what is real for you is the sticking point.
First: You may be a hired gun marketer who is passionate about putting up big numbers. You will promote darn near anything so long as it is profitable. Your intent is very clear. Show me the money!

Affiliate programs are great for people looking for a way to enter into a new business quickly with minimal overhead and start-up costs. Adding to the appeal is the fact that many are FREE to join. Once youve made your Affiliate Program selection you will also be pleased to find out that there are only a few, albeit important, steps you need to focus on. The first is to ensure that your Affiliate Website is optimized with the necessary Key Words to make it SEO friendly. After that you need to focus on your Affiliate Marketing Plan to make sure you understand how you are going to successfully drive traffic to your website landing page. Finally, track and monitor your site visits and conversion until you have the message working for you and you are meeting your affiliate conversion objectives.
Affiliate programs can be very profitable with good programs earning over $5,000.00 monthly. As long as you remember that it will not happen overnight. Again, the good programs offer a commission based on the life cycle of the prospect youve brought in. Lets say you start modestly and sign up two new affiliate customers a week and they each bring you $20.00 in affiliate commissions. At the end of your first year running this business from the comfort of your home you will be receiving a monthly Affiliate Residual cheque for $2,080.00 or almost $25,000.00 per annum. Now dont forget, this business is running in the background for you while you pursue your main occupation or pursue other affiliate opportunities.
Working from home has never been a more realistic goal than today because of affiliate programs. But its not just the opportunity to work at home that a good affiliate program brings to the table. Its the chance, for the first time for many people, to be directly rewarded for the effort they put into the job. The affiliate commission cheque at the end of each month is directly linked to you and your actions. You can kick your marketing plan into high gear to bring in some additional business allowing you to relax for a month in the summer and enjoy the family while the commission cheques keep coming. The affiliate program opportunity is also unique in being able to provide the almost instant gratification we never get when we perform above and beyond for others.

In internet advertising, article submission service is just like your invitations to a party you are organizing. Now you want the whole world to attend your party right? The more the merrier. Because in the internet, the more visitors you have, you are all the more richer. In real life parties, you limit the number of your visitors according to your budget. In the internet, you want an unlimited number of visitors. The more visitors you have, the more profits you can eventually gain. Because as the people gets to visit your website, that is your unique chance to impress them and make a sale. So if you want an unlimited number of visitors to your site, then you must be able to invite almost everybody right? This is the role of article submission service. You are literally broadcasting to cyberspace that they come and visit your site.
Yet when you invite others to your party, you must have a good invitations card to begin with. The one that will serve as your invitations cards is your good articles. Imagine inviting thousands to your party but with an ugly invitations card. You might have a good article submission service that was able to invite millions but nobody ever came to the party. Why? Your card was so ugly so that the people thought that your party is also going to be ugly. The point is this, your good articles that you submit in for article submission service should be nice, presentable, and worth noting. Your articles reflects back on your website.
If you really submit good articles then with a good article submission service at your support, you can expect traffic to increase to your site. If this happens, your next task is to capture your visitors imagination so they will commit a long term partnership with you. Now imagine this, you have good articles and you have a good article submission service, but you do not have good website content. Its just like inviting people to an empty party, and the visitors go home empty handed. On the other hand, if you have a good website content but do not have good articles and you have poor article submission service working for you, then nobody will visit the grand party that you have prepared for the people. So these are all interrelated: good articles, good website content, and good article submission service. If you have all that, then you are ready to party.

For all the worlds sophistication, the high level of technology, the advance of modernity, the intricacy and the sensory bombardment that the mass media brings, it all redounds to one thing ” Content. You may have a website full of graphics and videos and games but without an effective content writing at your command, your websites value will eventually tantamount to nothing. On the other hand, you may have all the words at your command, but these words do not constitute a meaningful whole, then you only have words but no meaning and no content.
Content writing is all about power and the magic of the written word. After all, it is language that has principally differentiated the human from all the rest of the animal kingdom. Through words we have created our society to be so complex that no species can possibly match. Language and words are actually the essence of a specifically human society that creates culture and engages society into a continuous process of development and evolutionary leaps. Imagine human society without words. Without words, human society will have no basis and will fall apart.
As we enter into the new era of the Age of Information, words and language take on a specifically critical character of principal significance. Cyberspace and the internet technology stripped of their embellishments and fanfare is essentially about a new and higher level of communication brought about by the written word. In essence, information society is about content. And the most essential element that comes into play in cyberspace is content writing. Without good and effective content, information society will just be a pile of gibberish of games and porn and videos.

Yes, I used to tell people the best thing to do for article marketing is to send your articles to major article directories, like Ezinearticles. But things have changed and now I am not so sure this is the bet advice for people with limited time and resources. The approval process at Ezinearticles is really slow sometimes. They can be really fussy about what is acceptable or not in their articles. Have you read the entire terms of service and understood them? It is all even slower if you are a non-paying member. But be real, who is going to pay to submit only one article to one site just to get it approved faster?
Then comes the issue of backlinks. When you submit your articles to Ezinearticles (EZA) you get backlinks from only one IP address. So after a while the backlinks are less effective than the first ones were. It is also evident that EZA has different policies in place for different level members relative to hyperlinks in resource boxes. That seems unfair to me and it results in a lot of aggravation for my apprentices who are just learning to use their service.
WordPress made a huge difference in the world of article marketing. It became the default content management and publishing platform for new sites. That is when syndicating articles became much easier. Many new ways began to surface to syndicate articles. Once you have your user account with WordPress you can publish articles. Not only your articles. You can now accept free articles and publish them at your site when you choose to use them.

Blogs and forums are two of the most popular means of information sharing online. Forums have been around for awhile and actually consist of threads or links by people. Forums are based around people’s common interests. Someone posts a comment or question and other people can post comments and answers to the original posts. Forums can be a great way to bring attention to your site.
One way of using forums for marketing is to add posts that include some useful information as well as your business online address. Be careful, however, since sometimes mediators on these forum sites don’t allow actual links to your business and may remove posts that contain them. You can avoid this problem by stating your business name without providing an actual link.
Blogs, a popularized shortened term for “web logs” is a perfect way to market your product or service online. There are two main ways to use blog marketing – as a stand alone blog or as a blog on your website. If you have an online business you should always link your blog to your website and vice-versa. A blog is comprised of short dated entries that are posted online. The blog is a great way to market your product while providing interesting information.
